Thanks to those who’ve completed the Australian Teacher Workforce Survey in previous years – your ongoing participation is vital as it helps us build a deeper understanding of the workforce, and how it changes over time.

For instance, here are a few things we’ve learnt from you:

• We now know that, on average, transitions to middle leadership positions typically occur after 10–19 years in the profession.
• We’ve also found that 65% of the teacher workforce have more than 10 years’ experience.
• We also know more about your working arrangements than ever before – 74% of classroom teachers are working full-time.
