Queen's Birthday Honours
The TRB would like to congratulate those members of the profession who were recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours earlier this month.
Catholic Education SA Deputy Director John Mula was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for services to Catholic education, having spent more than 40 years in the sector working across four states.
The late Judith Crabtree was also honoured with an OAM for services to primary education. Judith spent 50 years in the classroom and volunteered as an art teacher on the APY Lands, pioneering education programs for Anangu children.
Wendy Johnson was recognised as a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to secondary education in South Australia. Wendy became Principal at Glenunga International High School in 2008 and has since lead the school to national and international recognition.
Kangaroo Island Community Education Principal Maxine McSherry received a Public Service medal for outstanding service to the community of Kangaroo Island and to education. Maxine's leadership helped support students, staff and families during the 2019-20 bushfires and has contributed greatly to the recovery effort in the broader community.
