Two hundred and ninety-one teachers took part in our annual professional learning audit with the majority of them using the Teachers Portal to record their learning.

Professional learning undertaken included:

• online MOOCs
• webinars
• individual reading
• school-based research projects
• study towards a higher degree
• face-to-face workshops.

Not to be included in professional learning is:

• parent-teacher nights
• attendance at school camps
• participation in after-school activities (e.g., career evenings).

While these are crucial activities they form part of a teacher's professional practice not learning.
